The City is committed to a high level of public safety and partnering with the <br />community to maintain a safe and secure city. <br />COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING <br />INITIATIVE SUMMARY DEPARTMENT STATE/FEDERAL <br />Police Officer <br />Support legislation that increases <br />Police <br />State <br />Ratio <br />funding for cities to increase the <br />Department <br />police officer to community ratio. <br />Body Camera <br />Support and advocate for legislation <br />Police <br />State/Federal <br />Program <br />that helps the city acquire funding for <br />Department <br />a one-to-one ratio for body cameras, <br />and body camera memory storage. <br />Enhance Public <br />Support State and Federal legislation <br />Police <br />State/Federal <br />Trust <br />that increases funding for initiatives <br />Department <br />that promote public trust and <br />promote law enforcement <br />community engagement strategies. <br />Police Career <br />Support legislation that increases <br />Police <br />State/Federal <br />Pathway <br />funding for cities to promote a <br />Department <br />program that encourages local youth <br />to pursue a career with their local <br />police department. <br />
