Receive and file presentation on Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee <br />(MSRC) 2017 Local Government Partnership Program <br />2. Adopt resolution as required for the MSRC 2017 Local Partnership Program: <br />Acknowledging receipt of the presentation highlighting local air quality challenges <br />Authorizing the proposed project requesting $365,000 in MSRC funds <br />Confirming the City's allocation of necessary matching funds <br />DISCUSSION <br />In 2011, the City established a Green Facilities, Fleet and Central Stores Strategic Plan to <br />expand the process of creating an environmentally responsible Fleet and Stores operation. The <br />plan focuses heavily on providing and acquiring alternative fuels and alternative fuel vehicles to <br />reduce carbon emissions and improve overall environmental conditions in the City. Since the <br />Plan's inception, Fleet Services has purchased the following vehicles for its fleet: <br />seven heavy duty CNG powered trucks, <br />thirteen propane powered trucks, <br />seven electric powered vehicles. <br />As part of the City's efforts in continuing to meet forthcoming energy efficient and clean air <br />standards, the Fleet division constructed a propane fueling station at the Corporate Yard. <br />Additionally, on February 6, 2018, the City Council awarded a contract to install ten Electric <br />vehicle charging stations throughout the City. As the City continues to move in replacing gas <br />5513-1 <br />
