a) Accredited by an accrediting body that is independent from all other <br />Section 40-3. Compliance with State and Local Licensing Requirements <br />Any Adult Use commercial cannabis fetail business as defined by the State of <br />California and the City of Santa Ana shall operate in conformance with all regulations <br />and standards set forth in this article to assure that the operations of any commercial <br />Adult Use cannabis fetaR business as defined by the State of California and allowed by <br />the City of Santa Ana are in compliance with local and State law and are established to <br />mitigate, any adverse secondary effects from its operations. <br />Commercial Adult Use cannabis retail businesses shall be required to obtain a <br />Regulatory Safety Permit (RSP) from the City of Santa Ana and a State license once <br />they become available, and shall comply with any applicable State licensing <br />requirements, such as operational standards and locational criteria. <br />Co -location of Adult Use commercial cannabis businesses reta''aRj ""maciGi al <br />saRnabis feta4 proposed on any one site shall occur only if authorized by the State and <br />the City of Santa -Ana and only if allowed pursuant to the City's Zoning Code. Any <br />commercial cannabis activity not specifically permitted by this article is prohibited. <br />Section 40-4. Maximum Number of Regulatory Safety Permits <br />The total number of Adult Use cannabis retail businesses in operation shall be <br />determined based on the number of locations which have been issued a Regulatory <br />Safety Permit by the City of Santa Ana. In no case shall the City of Santa Ana allow <br />more the than the following commercial cannabis retail businesses to operate within <br />City limits, regardless of the location's compliance with any other Section specified in <br />this article: <br />A. 20 total medicinal cannabis retail. businesses (as regulated by Article XIII <br />of Chapter 18); <br />B. 30 total adult -use cannabis retail businesses (which could include any or <br />all of the medicinal cannabis retail businesses) <br />Section 40-5. Zoning Compliance and Regulatory Safety Permit <br />Requirements <br />Commercial Adult Use cannabis entail activities are expressly prohibited in all <br />zones in the, City of Santa Ana; however, specific commercial cannabis fetail <br />businesses are allowed as a special use in the Industrial zone (M-1, M-2).
