INSURANCE i(YI" ON : ILE A-2097-362 <br />WORM MAY NOT PROCEED <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />DATE: FEB 12 7090 <br />AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE K-9 TRAINING SERVICES <br />�c�i4+Mr u BETWEEN ADLERHORST INTERNATIONAL, LLC. <br />AND THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 19th day of December, 2017 by and <br />between Adlerhorst International, Inc., a California Limited Liability Company, (hereinafter <br />"Consultant"), and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation organized and <br />existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of California (hereinafter "City"). <br />RECITALS <br />A, The City desires to retain a consultant having special skill and knowledge in the field .of <br />providing police K-9 training for both police dogs and police K-9 handlers; and selecting <br />appropriate dogs for use as a K-9 police dog. <br />B. Consultant represents that Consultant is able and willing to provide such services to the <br />City, <br />C In undertaking the performance of this Agreement, Consultant represents that it is <br />knowledgeable in its field and that any services performed by Consultant under this <br />Agreement will be performed in compliance with such standards as may reasonably be <br />expected from a professional consulting firm in the field. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the <br />terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Consultant shall perform during the term of this Agreement, the tasks and obligations <br />including all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidental customary work required to fully <br />and adequately complete the services to provide monthly training for police K-9s and their <br />handlers, basic handler training as required for new K-9 handlers, new K-9 selection (Belgian <br />Malinois or German Shepherd), training of new K-9s, Narcotic detection training for K-95 and <br />handlers as needed, and miscellaneous equipment. <br />2. COMPENSATION <br />a. City agrees to pay, and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its services, <br />the rates and charges set forth below. The total sum to be expended under this <br />Agreement shall not exceed $89,800 during the three-year term of this Agreement as <br />follows: <br />Description of Services <br />Coots. <br />Montbly Training per Year <br />$12,600 per year * 3=$37,800 <br />
