City of Santa Ana Recycled Water Master P1 <br />• MacArthur Boulevard Median <br />Landscape <br />• Bear Street Median Landscape <br />• Thornton Park <br />• Harbor Boulevard Median Landscape <br />• Santa Ana Valley High School Sports <br />Complex Landscape <br />While the GAP provides recycled water <br />supply to sixteen customers in the City of <br />Santa Ana, the City seeks to expand their <br />recycled water system to offset more <br />potable demand. The focus of the recycled <br />water master plan will be to identify the <br />potential for expanded recycled water use In <br />the City and the distribution system needed <br />to supply that demand. Finally, the <br />master plan will identify the most <br />cost-effective option for the City and <br />provide a hydraulic model of the <br />recommended system, <br />The TRHA Team will utilize a proven <br />approach to complete the Recycled <br />Water Master Plan. The approach <br />encompasses the following five <br />steps: <br />1. Assessment of Available <br />Recycled Water Supplies, <br />2. Assessment and Verification <br />of Potential Recycled Water <br />Demands, <br />3. Evaluation of Treatment <br />Requirements for Potential <br />Recycled Water Customers, <br />4. Development of <br />Water Distribution <br />and <br />Recycled <br />System options, <br />The GAP distribution system can only <br />provide service to the southern portion of <br />the City. To expand the system into the <br />northern portion of the City storage and <br />pumping will be required. By taking <br />recycled water at a constant rate and <br />peaking from its own reservoirs additional <br />users could be served with recycled water. <br />The second potential source of recycled <br />water would be from interconnections to the <br />GWRS pipeline. The GWRS pipeline <br />shown in 1"igure 2, transverses the City and <br />provides recycled water for groundwater <br />Injection and spreading.
