PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />1. HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION NO. 2017-20, HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2017-19 AND HISTORIC PROPERTY <br />PRESERVATION AGREEMENT NO. 2017-24 <br />(Property: 2432 North Riverside Drive – Davis-Schneider House) <br /> <br />Matter continued from the October 5, 2017 Historic Resources Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on September 22, 2017 and notices <br />mailed September 21, 2017. <br /> <br />Senior Planner McCann provided a presentation which included the categorizations, <br />project description, and architectural style and name change to Davis-Schneider House. <br />Ms. McCann added into minutes that staff would like to elaborate under the description of <br />persons that lived in the home that a previous owner, Mr. Davis, was a founding member <br />of the O.C. Historical Society, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Schneider resided in 1998 and Mr. <br />Schneider was a photographer and videographer who documented the construction of <br />space shuttles, and noted windows are wood framed. Pamela Schneider, applicant, spoke <br />in support of the matter. Chairperson Christy opened the public hearing. There were no <br />additional speakers on the matter and the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued on the windows and half-round porch. Commissioner Rush requested <br />if windows are replaced in the future, that they be replaced as original product. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2017-20 and approving Historic Register Categorization No. 2017-19. <br /> <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the <br />Council to execute a Mills Act agreement with Pamela D. Schneider, subject to <br />non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br /> <br />MOTION: Schaefer SECOND: Garcia <br />VOTE: AYES: Christy, Garcia, Hardy, Hitterdale, Murashie, Rush, Schaefer <br />(7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSTAIN: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: Nguyen (1) <br /> <br />A-3
