When will your next General Plan update occur? We have embarked on a comprehensive General Plan Update <br />which will include a new Historic Preservation Element to affirm Santa Ana’s commitment to <br />preservation. This update includes extensive outreach to the community. A draft of goals and policies <br />is anticipated to be complete at the end of 2018. <br /> <br /> <br />D. Review Responsibilities <br /> <br />1. Who takes responsibility for design review or Certificates of Appropriateness? <br /> <br /> ☐ All projects subject to design review go the commission. <br /> <br />☒ Some projects are reviewed at the staff level without commission review. What is the threshold between staff-only <br />review and full-commission review? Like-for-like changes can be reviewed administratively, as well as minor <br />modifications on a non-primary elevation such as signs, exterior lighting, and restoration. All other <br />projects require commission approval. <br />C-10
