Preparing context statements and new surveys. . <br /> <br /> <br />B. What is the single accomplishment of your local government this year that has done the most to further preservation in <br />your community? Reduction in historic preservation fees (self-nomination and Mills Act contracts) <br />through August 2017.. <br /> <br /> <br />C. What recognition are you providing for successful preservation projects or programs? During this reporting period, <br />the City of Santa Ana’s historic downtown was named as one of APA’s ‘Great Neighborhoods’. Due in <br />large part to the early preservation efforts conducted by the City. <br /> <br /> <br />D. How did you meet or not meet the goals identified in your annual report for last year? N/A <br /> <br /> <br />E. What are your local historic preservation goals for 2017-2018? Some of the goals include completing the backlog <br />of current Historic Register Listing and Mills Act Applications, reinstate the annual historic <br />preservation awards, create guidelines for neighborhoods to pursue historic district designation, create <br />interactive GIS historic resource map, reevaluate Mills Act Program, and draft goals and policies for a <br />General Plan Historic Preservation Element. <br /> <br /> <br />F. So that we may better serve you in the future, are there specific areas and/or issues with which you could use technical <br />assistance from OHP? Referral list of artisans/craftsmen in the restoration field for various restoration and <br />rehabilitation projects.. <br /> <br /> <br />C-19
