Carter and other Orange County Leaders,
I am a resident of Santa Ana and I am outraged that the other cities in our great county are refusing
to assist in the homeless crisis. Like Irvine, Laguna Niguel, and every other city, our children deserve
a safe walk to school. We deserve clean parks and public areas, and we deserve the same
consideration for how the homeless population affects our day-to-day lives. One city should not carry
the burden of an entire county.
I have been scared to let my kids out to play and have denied them access to the park across the street because
of transients and drug paraphernalia I have found there. I want them to live in a safe environment!
Please represent me and the thousands of other tax -paying, voting, and law-abiding citizens of Santa
Ana by showing your support in this matter.
Sincerely,
Michelle Ackley
Santa Ana Resident
lJ
