Authorize Transaction with Clyde Armory, Inc. <br />April 17, 2018 <br />Page 2 <br />to the specifications and meets the City's requirements. The bid pricing for the 38 rifles with <br />accessories in the amount of $81,147, when combined with the trade-in credit value of $85,445, <br />offers the best value to the City. It funds the acquisition of 38 Daniel Defense rifles, rifle optics, <br />flashlight, slings and magazines and provides an additional $4,298, which will be used to buy <br />additional miscellaneous weapon accessories. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Strategic Goal # 1 — Community Safety, <br />Objective # 5 (provide high quality Police and Fire/Emergency Medical Services response within <br />the City of Santa Ana). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this transaction. In exchange for 335 used firearms, the <br />vendor will issue an in-store credit in the amount of $85,445. The Police Department will buy <br />patrol rifles with accessories and other miscellaneous weapon accessories up to that dollar <br />amount. <br />Exhibit: 1.
