jmf 3/19/18 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -XXX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA ADOPTING A LIST OF PROJECTS TO BE <br />FUNDED BY SB 1: THE ROAD REPAIR AND <br />ACCOUNTABILITY ACT <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and <br />declares as follows: <br />A. Senate Bill 1 (SB 1), the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, was <br />passed by the Legislature and signed into law by the Governor in April 2017 in order to <br />address the significant multi -modal transportation funding shortfalls statewide. <br />B. SB 1 includes accountability and transparency provisions that will ensure <br />the residents of the City of Santa Ana are aware of the projects proposed for funding in <br />our community and which projects have been completed each fiscal year. <br />C. The City must establish a list of all projects to receive funding from the Road <br />Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA), created by SB 1, which must include <br />a description and the location of each proposed project, a proposed schedule for the <br />project's completion, and the estimated useful life of the improvement. <br />D. The City of Santa Ana will receive an estimated $5,668,325 in RMRA <br />funding in Fiscal Year 2018-19 from SB 1. <br />E. The funding from SB 1 will help the City maintain and rehabilitate local <br />streets and roads and provide resources for similar projects in the future. <br />F. Modernizing the local street and road system is critical for interconnectivity, <br />multimodal needs, and commerce. <br />G. The SB 1 project list and overall investment in our local streets and roads <br />infrastructure with a focus on basic maintenance, safety, and investing in complete streets <br />will have significant benefits statewide. <br />Section 2. The City of Santa Ana adopts the following list of projects planned <br />to be funded with Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) revenues for <br />Fiscal Year 2018/19, <br />Resolution No. 2018 -XXX <br />"99%! <br />5 Page 1 of 3 <br />
