Myers & Joanne <br />2017-47 <br />2440 North Riverside <br />8:0 <br />Larens <br />Drive <br />Mark, Erwin & Beverley <br />2017-49 <br />2370 North Flower Street <br />8:0 <br />Schauwecker <br />Blair O'Callaghan <br />2017-52 <br />321 East Santa Clara <br />8:0 <br />Avenue <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION ACTION <br />On April 26, 2018, the Historic Resources Commission recommended that the City Council <br />authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute the attached Mills Act <br />agreements with the identified property owners for the historic structures, subject to non - <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This action allows for the approval of a Historic Property Preservation Agreement (Mills Act <br />Contract) which provides a potential property tax reduction whereby property owners agree to <br />reinvest the tax savings towards the maintenance of the historic property (Exhibit A). <br />Additionally, the agreement prevents inappropriate alterations to the historic structures (Exhibits <br />B1 -B3). <br />25C-1 <br />
