FILE NUMBER
Authorize a one-time purchase and payment of purchase order to Guaranty Chevrolet Motors
Inc., for the procurement of one Chevrolet Silverado truck with a low profile WorkPod insert in the
amount of $52,659.20, subject to nonsubstantive changes approved by the City Manager and
City Attorney.
DISCUSSION
The Finance and Management Services Agency, Facilities, Fleet Maintenance and Central
Stores Division is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, repair, and replacement of
vehicles, trucks, and maintenance equipment. The Public Works Sewer Services Division is in
need of a truck to replace an existing maintenance vehicle for one of their crew leader positions.
The existing maintenance vehicle was purchased in 2005 and has over 109,000 miles. Due to
the extensive use and age of this vehicle, it has proven to be unreliable and expensive to repair.
The replacement Silverado will include a low profile WorkPod insert to provide adequate tool
storage compartments.
