Dear City of Santa Ana -
I am reaching out to you with regards to a proposed project coming to the planning commission next
week. The proposed project is a restaurant, tasting room and small brewery located at 501 N French St,
on the corner of 5th and French. The current office will be improved and upgraded and include both
indoor and outdoor seating, including a new rooftop seating portion. The project will help activate the
corner on the edge of Downtown that sits directly between the incoming streetcar stops on 4th/French
and Santa Ana/French. The project will also help provide an integral "connector" to the Lacy
Neighborhood / Station District. The operator is Noble Ale Works, who currently has a large scale
Brewery and tasting room in Anaheim. Noble is well regarding the business and we are excited to bring
them to Downtown Santa Ana.
Would appreciate you and your commissioners support and any questions let me know.
Thank you.

Planning Commission -
I would like to voice my support for the proposed restaurant/brewery at 501 N. French Street.
I own a home just outside the 500 foot notification area and also spend lots of time walking by
this building. This project will help activate this otherwise dead intersection (5th/French) with
aesthetic improvements and increase pedestrian activity. This project is also only one block
away from fourth street and fits well into the fabric of our downtown commercial.
I would like to request your support for this project.
Thank you,
Lisandro Orozco

Subject: Noble Ale Works
Dear City of Santa Ana -
I learned recently that Noble Ale Works is joining DTSA with a restaurant and brewery on the east end. I
think anytime a business establishment want to be part of the DTSA community is a good thing. This
business can only contribute to making this part of Santa Ana more appealing.
I currently own The Pizza Press, located at 117 W 4th Street and have been here a little over a year and
a half. I can tell you that operating a business here has been a challenge with so many vacant stores
around me.
I am urging you to support new restaurants such Noble Ale Works and other eateries that want to do
business here in Santa Ana. Please make your approval process simple for them.
I would appreciate you and your commissioners support and any questions let me know.
Thank you.

RE: Noble Ale Works Project, 501 N. French Street
Dear Chairman McLoughlin and Members of the Santa Ana Planning Commission:
My name is Jon Gothold. I have been a resident of Santa Ana for over 31 years. In addition, I
have owned the Old Santa Ana City Hall building on 3rd and Main Street for nearly 20 years.
I am lending my voice of support for the proposed Noble Ale Works project located at 501 N.
French Street.
When I first moved to Santa Ana in 1988, I lived just up the street from this location, at 1116 N.
French Street. I lived there for over 15 years. My neighbors and I dreamed of amenities like this
coming to within walking distance of our neighborhood, but during the time I lived there with my
family, nothing like that ever arrived. In fact, many of our favorite neighborhood amenities went
away instead, such as the Trader Joes that was at Main and Washington.
This is a wonderful project which deserves our support. The residents of French Park and the
Lacy Neighborhood/Station District have waited a long time for this type of thing to happen, and
this will also benefit all of us the live, work and play Downtown.
Sincerely,
Jon Gothold
