Subject: Calvary Church at 1010 N. Tustin Avenue and 1100 B N. TUSTIN
Good Afternoon Mr. Fregoso and comments for the hearing:
I received the notification about the upcoming hearing with Santa Ana for the above referenced
project. What is the notification period required for this project? A week’s notice is not very much
time to ask questions, obtain plans and details, review them and make time to attend a hearing that
you were just notified of….Overall, the Calvary Church is a fantastic neighbor, and I know they will
build beautiful improvements.
I am hoping that you can provide information on the proposed improvements. Please make sure
that these comments and questions are made a part of the public record in case I need to based on
my questions/concerns which may not be answered in time.
My questions/concerns would be as follows:
1010 and 1100 B North Tustin Properties
Would you please provide any site plans or available plans for the improvements?
Please advise of the height and location of any proposed improvements
The density of the project will affect the neighboring properties from a construction and
traffic perspective
Are there any road improvements required for these improvements
Are there any traffic signal improvements required for these improvements
Please describe in depth what uses the improved facilities will serve
Will there be any facilities used for any community outreach purposes
Please specify the type or types of outreach uses including any charitable purposes ie
Bible Study Groups, Concert Halls, Youth outreach, drug outreach, feeding the poor,
any of these types of uses
Please confirm that the expansion will not include any living quarters of any kind,
including recreational vehicles, or overnight car parking
Outside gathering, eating or smoking areas, benches – Any facilities like this are of a
concern to me as a neighbor because of the extensive crime that this area has been
experiencing due to the homeless and drug problems facing our city.
Hours and Days of Construction
Onsite Contact to call
2223 E. WELLINGTON – same questions as above if part of the expansion
The address of this property was not included in the description but the map shows it next to the
project. This property is directly adjacent to our property so I am very interested in any proposed
changes or improvements to this parcel, especially.
Does the Calvary Church own the parcel south of Wellington as shown on the map
Are any of the improvements proposed for this parcel
If yes, please answer the same questions as above
Please advise of the height and location of any proposed improvements
The density of the project will affect the neighboring properties from a construction
and traffic perspective
Please describe in depth what uses the improved facilities will serve
Will there be any facilities used for any community outreach purposes
Please specify the type or types of outreach uses including any charitable purposes ie
Bible Study Groups, Concert Halls, Youth drug outreach, feeding the poor, any of these
types of uses
Outside gathering, eating or smoking areas, benches
Hours and Days of Construction
Onsite Contact to call
Please provide this information as soon as possible since the meeting is only a week away. Thank
you.

Good Morning Mr. Fregoso:
Mr. Welles has kindly sent me exhibits of the proposed improvements and we have spoken about
the project at length. The proposed improvements are aesthetically appealing and will result in
Calvary’s ability to provide good educational support for the young people and ministry to the local
community.
Please consider this email a letter of support for Calvary’s proposed improvements to their property
located on Tustin Avenue, north of Wellington. Calvary Church is an excellent neighbor and we are
fortunate that they are interested and committed to investing in our community for the betterment
of the neighborhood and the City. Thank you.
