6 FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH MARIA FIERRO
�/ ; TO ASSIST THE SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT
IN IMPLEMENTING THE SANTA ANA FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT to the above -referenced agreement is entered into on February 20,
2020, by and between Maria Fierro ("Consultant"), and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and
municipal corporation organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of
California ("City").
RECITALS
A. The parties entered into Agreement No. A-2019-237, dated October 22, 2019, by which
Consultant agreed to provide services to implement the steps, foster relationships and partnerships
with varied social and legal programs, recruit volunteers, establish its governing board and
committees, and establish the program as a federal and state recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization to benefit the community.
B. The parties wish to amend the Agreement to revise the scope of services, and increase the overall
compensation of the Agreement.
The Parties therefore agree:
1. Section 1, Scope of Services, is revised as follows:
Services referenced in Sections 14 and 15 from the Scope of Work, Exhibit A, are not
required for completion by the Consultant. City considers all services from Exhibit A
completed by operation of this First Amendment; and
Consultant shall provide supervision and oversight of the Santa Ana Family Justice
Center as detailed in Exhibit A-1 to this First Amendment for a six week period.
Timing for this period shall be agreed upon in writing by the parties.
2. Section 2.a., Compensation, is amended to increase the compensation amount by $12,599.97.
The total amount to be expended during the term of this Agreement shall not exceed $49,950.
Except as modified by this First Amendment, all terms and conditions of the Agreement shall
remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this First Amendment to the Agreement
on the date and year first written above.
