o Can we ask city council to vote on recalling measure x or what do we need to do to get
omit on November ballot to recall measure x
o The voters should have the right to recall any measure of the city council is not
willing to do it then what do we residents need to do? Submit signatures to get it
in the ballot?
o regarding census.. give people Toilet Paper or other essential as incentive to do
census. They can provide proof the completed. what about using the same
system as amber alert to send a mass message to remind everyone about the
census? We get those on phone for emergency alerts etc.
• Max Motlagh, Auto Wholesale Company
o I'm a resident and business owner here, my water bill doubled this month, when our
usage remained the same. How does the city council justify this increase at such an
already detrimental time to Santa Ana businesses and residents?
• Mextli Lopez
o How will [the] city council protect tenants who are struggling from income loss due to
COVID19 from confronting rent increases when they are already struggling to pay rents
as they are?
• Danny Vega
o Are our measure X dollars being used to fix these streets. That's why we are paying top
dollar right? saved for public record?
o Does the city recommend we report businesses like nail salons that are still open or
soccer games being played at the park? If so, what number should we call?
• Maria Ceja
o Will there be a specific COVID-19 rental assistance program that includes ALL Santa Ana
residents? How will you further protections for tenants facing joblincome security?
• Valerie Esqueda
o My name is Valerie Esqueda. Asa sanctuary city, when can we expect the city to start an
emergency assistance fund for undocumented folks that are affected by COVIDI9?

o We have more than 6,000 McKenny vento kids not living in a dignify home. We need
more protections and rental assistance for extremely low income families and
undocumented workers.
• Nathaniel Greensides
o Oakland and LA have rent freezes. We need SantaAna City Council to vote yes on rent
freezes throughout pandemic and six months after SIP is lifted. Why is this a priority
when landlords are increasing rents during a pandemic? City Council focusing on the
"hideous" aesthetic of radio/WiFi towers shows poorly placed priorities.
o Measure X taxes are passed through to consumers by businesses; the revenues make
our city better. Iglecias: tell us the truth! Who is truly prompting this?
o City Council can enact a rent increase moratorium to help residents, please discuss that
instead of Measure X
• Victor Garcia
o How is Santa ANA Police helping out during this pandemic throughout the city?
o Will the taxes in the city be lowered for a while during and after this Pandemic?
o Can there be increased penalties for people who graffiti , and more patrol for
offenders who "tag"? Such as when there was stricter enforcement a couple
years back?
o Can we get verification is a rent freeze was passed?
• Cynthia Guerra
o Will the City create an emergency fund to help those impacted by the crisis? The
current rental assistance fund is not enough. It was not created to withstand the
effects of a pandemic. An emergency relief fund is especially urgent for our
undocumented residents who do not have access to the financial assistance
available like federal government assistance.
o There are folks dealing with medical emergencies and income loss. Can a
council member explain what justifies increasing rents during this emergency?
We need a rent increase moratorium

alot to afford it since alot of people lost their job or got their hours cut due to the
pandemic
