Use of private lots can - • shift liability from the City to the private property owner • accommodate restrooms and hand washing facilities • be an infusion of revenue for the private property owner by renting/leasing their site during this pandemic • aid in finding potential sites that can accommodate a food court environment for lunch and vending trucks Many cities have adopted municipal codes for these purposes. They make sense, especially now. Pleas vote YES on Agenda Item 55A, to Adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TEMPORARILY ALLOWING FOOD VENDING VEHICLES TO USE PRIVATE PROPERTIES AND CERTAIN CITY OWNED PARKING LOTS FOR VENDING ACTIVITIES AND SUSPENDING THE REQUIREMENT OF A LAND USE CERTIFICATE.
