To the Mayor and Council,
I am writing in support of item 25 E. The distribution of funds for Working Wardrobes, Project Kinship,
and Workforce Connection (City of Anaheim) is appropriate and is an example of being on the right
path of investing in our youth. I ask that you hold each one of these organizations accountable and
keep track of their progress as they uplift our youth. There is so much work to do and this is a good
start to learn from. Our youth and the wellbeing of our community should be a top priority for each of
you. I ask that you shift your focus from criminalizing and policing our youth, youth that you all seem
so out of reach from, to care for them and be empathetic as you all were once part of the youth and
may have children of your own.
