Hello, I would like to comment on the Planning Commission Hearing Agenda Item 1 (One Broadway
Plaza)
Public Comment- Please Read Aloud During Public Hearing
My name is Doug Robbins, I am a Representative for the Painters and Allied Trades Union.
We Represent about 10,000 workers in the Painting, Drywall Finishing, Glazing, Floor Covering and
Tradeshow Industry. Many of our members live in City of Santa Ana and are excited about an
opportunity to work in the City where they Live. The Proposed PLA will provide that opportunity.
That lot has been setting as a pile of dirt for around 20 years, this is an opportunity to build a
beautiful Iconic Building where that pile of dirt now sets. This will create roughly 3000 High Wage
Skilled Construction Jobs. I urge you to support this project. Thank You!
