I’m writing to you today to ask you to please pass a climate emergency resolution that includes a SAFE commitment and an endorsement of the global call for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. On a personal note and having grown up in Southern California during the sixties and seventies I remember the smoggy days and alerts when you could barely fill your lungs with air without coughing, we have come so far in cleaning the air we breathe and our ocean but there is still work left to do which if not undertaken could translate into climate cataclysms in the near future, thank you.
