Re: Overnight large vehicle (RV) temporary permit parking according to MC Sec. 36-153
Honorable Mayor and City Council,
I would like to know if the process, form and fee for Santa Ana resident temporary overnight large vehicle (RV) permit
parking according to MC Sec. 36-153 has been finalized.
My understanding, at the time that the Council passed this ordinance, is that a process, form and fee would be
developed and made available for the many Santa Ana residents who have RV's and must load and unload these for a
family trip.
According to MC Sec. 36-153 —
(a)The City Manager has the authority to adopt procedural rules and regulations governing the permit process,
and to issue a parking permit for the parking of a recreational vehicle on a public street to any resident of the City
Additionally, I would like to know how a resident would easily access this information.
Your help in clarifying this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Please advise.
Thank you,
Mike Tardif

SANTA A A BUSINESS COUNCIL, IN
U- der
The DTSA Bridal/ Ctuincearrera Association has been re -activated and is excited to share updates with you as well
as request your support. The pandemic has devastated our businesses for nearly a year and we simply cannot
continue to sustain our businesses unless we have a significant shift. We are seeking your support during this
transformational pivot as we innovate our business approach and adapt tonew technology.
The pandemic has taught us to be innovative and in response, we are planning several marketing campaigns that
will shed positive light to the bridal and quinceaAera businesses in Downtown while preserving Covid safety
protocols.
The first marketing campaign is to host a VIRTUAL Bridal/Quince Fashion Show on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from
2pm-3p live -streamed through Facebook Live and later uploaded to Youtube. please note that live audience
will not be invited or allowed during the virtual show, the location will not be announced. The only attendees will
be the ten (10) business owners and their models, including Iran=_gender models from TransLatinx (nonprofit in
DTSA). l'v#odeis will prepare inside the place of business and come out to the stage only for their 1-minute walk.
The virtual show will display bridal dresses, quincean`era dresses, and suits, for a total of 45-60 minutes.
Thereafter, the video recording could be converted into small commercials or videos for individual business use.
This virtual fashion show will have a positive impact to our businesses and we kindly request your support.
A small street closure is needed for the small stage for the models on 4"' Street between Broadway & Sycamore
(1 block street closure). The set-up & tear down will take three hours total, but the street closure would be needed
From 8am-5pm (to avoid cars from parking in the stalls). Your support is again kindly requested for the street
closure and your support for this dire marketing opportunity.
Simultaneously, the majority of the I ridal/ uinceanera businesses in DTSA are currently enrolled in a Webify
training program hosted by the OC Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to develop an online presence,
participate in e•commerce, and acclimate to online sales.
e have been in DTSA for decades and we want to stay her for decades to follow. We are drying our part and we
kindly request your support with the Virtual Bridal/(wince Fashion Show scheduled to occur March 21" from
2prn-3pm streamed through Facebook Live (no live audience).

Good afternoon, I am a resident of Santa ana for 18 yrs, I currently live in ward 5. I am sending in a public
comment for concern of public safety, I understand that SAPD hired additional officers which is great! But I
would like to see the effect of it by offering community policing services. Myself and neighbors have had to
place security cameras on our properties since there are crimes being committed day and night, for example car
break ins, catilac converters stolen, tailgate theft, graffiti, package/mail theft and even entering private property.
What happened to the recent hit and run on Sullivan and Willits, did the suspect get arrested for hit and run,
vehicular manslaughter? Can anyone inform the public? Also not to mention about having the large homeless
encampment near 5 schools on Ross st is very sad to see and not only dangerous for our children! Please city
council do something about it, make some change in our community!

As a resident of Santa’s Ana I believe the city should look at abolishing single family zoning to help alleviate
California’s housing shortage. Sacramento and Berkeley have already begun this process and Santa Ana should
join them. We need denser housing.

Subject:City Council meeting comments and concerns!
Hello!
I’m hoping to speak at the meeting via zoom later, but at minimum I would like this comment to be present:
My name is Briana, I’m an arts educator and curator. I’ve been organizing an extremely safe and successful arts and
music event to promote local business and give artists work opportunities in this recession. We’re being held back due
to a code that all artists need gratuitous business licenses.
This severely harms artists opportunities as they’re barely making enough as it is, most of them lost money on last years
licenses and then lost opportunities due to covid!
Is there a way to not charge artists for these licenses? Art and music in the streets and at businesses contributes to
parking fees and local economy. $30 isn’t much for the city but it can be a lot for artists! especially when they’re already
investing in tools necessary for their craft. There should be more opportunities and grants for small and emerging artists,
not hoops to jump through.
At minimum can there be an exception as covid relief for this year? Or maintaining a free license for students?
-Briana Harley
