Hi Daisy,
Item 15 on the agenda: Can any of these trucks be hybrid or All electric
vehicles? Ford is taking orders for an All Electric F150 pick up
truck. They are also introducing a smaller truck similar to a Ranger which
is Hybrid. I am sure Chev (GM) is close behind Ford so can we ask if
these trucks can be supplied in a hybrid or all electric power plant.
Item 12 on the agenda: I would strongly suggest the city purchasing dept
look into all electric or hybrid vehicles for the SAPD. I would ask Ford,
GM and yes Tesla to see where they stand and I am sure Ford has one on
the drawing board. In fact if they know the city is interested in an all
electric vehicle they may give us a few for testing. It is worth our time to
ask.
