With respect to the lobbying I’m watching live on YouTube right now:
I do not support any SA land being turned over towards the usage of a cemetery, on multiple grounds that I will not
detail at length in an effort to be brief. Just know, I do not support under any circumstances and I’m certain that many
feel the same way.
With respect to our Men and Woman Uniform, we salute their service, yes we do.

Subject: June 15, 2021 Session - Comment for Decreased Police Budget and Increased Youth Programs Funding
I would like to email this as a public comment in case I’m unable to speak this evening:
I would like my voice to register that I do not support additional increases to the police department, in fact I would like
to see a further (significant) reduction in police spending. With the money savings being invested into local youth
programs, parks, city infrastructure improvements, etc.

I write to you in support of establishing a veterans' cemetery in Gypsum Canyon within the City
of Anaheim. Various veteran organizations and community leaders have advocated for
establishing a veterans' cemetery in Orange County for years without success.
As a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, I had the privilege of touring national
cemeteries around Europe as part of my oversight responsibilities. I was delighted to find that the
local European communities took it upon themselves to keep the cemeteries in perfect
condition. These Europeans clearly understood the price paid by young American soldiers during
the Great Wars.
With over 130,000 veterans residing in Orange County and thousands who have served before
them, we must do everything we can to secure a final resting place for our heroes.
The County of Orange has recently taken measures to begin the process of establishing a veterans'
cemetery in Anaheim Hills on county -owned property already zoned for cemetery use. The county
has also allocated twenty million dollars for this endeavor. All impediments appear to have been
lifted, allowing us to move on with providing an ideal final resting place for our veterans.
By passing this resolution, the City of Santa Ana will be a part of a significant historic milestone
by building a veterans' cemetery within our county.
I humbly ask your support in passing this resolution to help create a final resting place for our
veterans in Anaheim Hills. Thank you.
