Good Afternoon –
I have a few questions regarding the zoning changes and information related to the general plan as
follows:
· What is the current population numbers for the city?
· What is the percentage increase in population with the zoning changes? Ie what is the estimated
population at build out?
· What is the intended uses for the zoning changes?
· Are any of the zone changes and uses intended for affordable housing?
· Are any of the zone changes intended for drug and rehab facilities?
· Are any of the zone changes intended to allow for homeless housing?

You are receiving this email as you have requested to be notified of activitiesrelated to the City of Santa Ana General Plan Update.
The City of Santa Ana will be conducting a Planning Commission public hearing tosolicit public comments on the Recirculated Draft Program Environmental Impact
Report (PEIR) prepared for Santa Ana’s “Golden City Beyond: A Shared Vision”
General Plan Update on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. The Planning
Commission is also holding a study session that evening on the Draft General Planelements.
The Recirculated Draft PEIR is available for a 45-day public review period whichbegan on Friday, August 6, 2021 and will end on Monday, September 20, 2021.
The Recirculated Draft Program EIR and Draft General Plan Elements can be
found at www.santa-ana.org/general-plan have been modified to respond tocommunity concerns, and they reflect input received from an intensive, extended
community outreach program conducted by the City between January and May
2021. This outreach was designed to provide Santa Ana’s disadvantaged, or
“environmental justice (EJ) communities,” an opportunity to share their experiencesand issues regarding environmental health and quality of life.
Meeting Details: Monday, September 13, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. in the City CouncilChambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701. Members of the public
may attend this meeting in-person or join via Zoom. For the most up to date

Written Comments: If you are unable to participate in the virtual meeting, youmay send written comments by e-mail to PBAeComments@santa-
ana.org (reference the Agenda Item # in the subject line) or mail to Sarah Bernal,
Recording Secretary, City of Santa Ana, 20 Civic Center Plaza – M20, Santa Ana,
CA 92701. Deadline to submit written comments is 4:00 p.m. on the day of themeeting. Comments received after the deadline may not be distributed to the
Commission but will be made part of the record.

Planificación también realizará esa noche una sesión de estudio sobre loselementos del Proyecto del Plan General.
El Borrador Recirculado de PEIR y estudios técnicos pertinentes están disponibles
por un período de revisión pública de 45 días que comenzó el viernes 6 de agosto
de 2021 y terminará el lunes 20 de septiembre de 2021. El Borrador Recirculado
del programa EIR y el borrador de los elementos del plan general se pueden
encontrar en www.santa-ana.org/general-plan y se han modificado pararesponder a las preocupaciones de la comunidad, y reflejan los aportes recibidos
de un programa intensivo y extendido de alcance comunitario llevado a cabo por la
