Subject: May 26th Hearing: Opposition of Gas Station: Tustin and Santa Clara
NOT DISTRIBUTED. RECEIVED AFTER DEADLINE
My name is Vanessa Carasa and I live in Merediith Parkwood. I am in opposition of May
26th hearing regarding the proposed gas station on Tustin and Santa Clara. Unfortunately, dueto the Covid-19 pandemic I was not aware that this proposal was being discussed. I have lived
in the neighborhood for 10 years and my children are alumni of Plumfield Preschool next tothe proposed gas station.
A gas station next to 2-5 years olds is not healthy nor safe. The children play outside andhave class instruction outside often. To have such little children be exposed to the fumes of
gasoline is irresponsible and dangerous! Inhalation of gases are especially harmful to childrenwith growing lungs.
In addition, traffic, adjacent to, children being dropped off can pose a safety risk. Loud cars, coming in and out all day can also be a major distraction to learning minds.
I know many people in this neighbor have used, or still use, Plumfield as the first learningacademy for their children. It would be very unfortunate for such a great business be
jeopardized. Again, I am sorry I was not able to comment on this during the hearing earlier as the Covid
19 Pandemic has impacted myself ( and others in opposition) to be unaware of this proposal. Please take my comments in to consideration. I can be reached for additional comment at
(714) 469-5439.
