Dear Commissioners:
I am writing to give my support to the proposed project. My name is Frederick
Heinecke and I am the managing member of Heinecke Gould Properties LLC. We
are the land owners of this location and this property has been in the family for
over 100 years. It is currently under a long-term lease.
This improvement will rid the neighborhood of the eyesore vacant lot that has been
unimproved for over 25 years. This is an upgraded similar-use to the previous gas
station that had been on this property since the mid-1960’s and was only removed
in the early 1990’s. It is also consistent with the C-5 zoning.
In addition to added tax revenues from sales and property taxes, we believe this
project will be a genuine improvement to the neighborhood. With the new
Starbuck’s on the north east corner and this new building, the entire intersection
will look and be rejuvenated. Keeping the vacant lot will just add years to any
renewal.
