Subject: Planning Commission Today's Meeting RE: 2230 N. Tustin Avenue Development
To: Sarah Bernal, Recording
Secretary 5/26/20
From: Kent M. Mueller, Property Owner in the Windwood North Condominium
Complex adjacent to the proposed development.
Dear Planning Commission Members of the City of Santa Ana Planning & Building
Agency:
It has come to my attention that the proposed development at 2230 N. Tustin Ave in
Santa Ana, CA raises several environmental concerns, they are as follows:
1. The proposed gas station is within 100' of a Preschool
2. The proposed gas station is within 250' of a Condominium Complex (Windwood
North)
3. Also the proposed variance for a driveway within 150 of the intersection with cause
traffic congestion on Santa
Clara Ave. as it turns on to Tustin Ave. South.
Due to the nature of the Storage, Sale and Dispensing of Gasoline* in the proposed
development I am not in favor of the plan as it is stands today.
*Gasoline contains Several Volatile Toxic Compounds and should not be dispensed
or stored near schools or domiciles.
Sincerely,
Kent M. Mueller
