As an employee of a business in the Santora Building (207 N Broadway), I am opposed to thisproject. Our company uses this parking structure daily, as do our clients who come in formeetings and consultations The parking structure is nearly full everyday, and there is limited metered street parkingin the area. Where do you propose all of those cars park during construction and after? As a woman I do not want to park further away from my office, particularly in the fallwhen it is dark when I am walking back to my car Parking in metered spots is both more expensive than the structure, and will cut into thework day having to go move my car every two hours (not good for scheduling meetings, etc.)If a new structure is included on the premises of this mixed-development, what guarantees are in place that we can park there daily at the same rate (permits) that wehave now? Local businesses would have fewer customers because people don't want to go wherethere is limited parking With COVID-19 requirements, a lot of street parking has been removed for outdoordining, meaning we'd have to park even further Jury Duty members often park in that structure, and parking around the government andcity buildings is already difficult The current construction along Broadway and in this area for several years has causedmore congestion and longer commutes for local businesses. Construction for up to several years at an intersection like Broadway/3rd could be detrimental to newcustomers coming to local businesses While the incoming of more residents may bring new customers, it is not a guarantee As a business member of the Downtown Santa Ana area, I request that this project not proceed.
