Hello,
My name is Doris Rodriguez and I oppose the addition of over 17,000 new housing units. There are
so many areas of the city that are currently in need of revitalization, that is where the money and
effort should be concentrated.
This is truly sad to read that this is even being proposed and most likely, regardless of what residents
say, will come to pass. Does greed know no bounds. Just reading the provided Environmental
Impact is enough to scrap the project. “Air Quality” – because who needs fresh air, “historic
resources” – because who needs to remember the past, “Greenhouse Gas Emissions” – because
protecting the only planet we have is surely someone else’s problem, “Noise” – because current
residents should not have an expectation of peace and quiet….
When will enough be enough. How many will you pack in and stack up before you are done? Please
reconsider quality of life for everyone – including those that will be sardined in the Projects (new
housing units) The estimate is 17,575 new housing units, we all know it will be more – it is always
more.
