Why is a Relocation Plan needed?
A residential property at the northwest corner of Fairview and 9tn
Street is acquired for sight distance clearance. A portion of the
building is blocking the sight distance for vehicles entering Fairview
Street from 9t" Street. Relocation plan evaluates the present
circumstances and replace housing requirements of Project tenants.
Fairview Bridge Replacement Relocation Plan
A relocation plan has been prepared in conformance with
applicable provisions of the California Government Code and
the Relocation Guidelines, California Code of Regulations,
Title 25, and has been made available for public review since
February 11, 2022.
Each potential displaced occupant was given written
notification regarding the plan-s availability and an
opportunity to submit questions or comments.
No comments were received by the end of Relocation Plan
Public notification period on March 15, 2022.
Next Steps
Finalize one full and one partial acquisition
Relocate the impacted owners and tenants
Coordinate with Caltrans for right-of-way certification by
August 2022
Coordinate with Caltrans Headquarters for construction
funding allocation by early 2023
Advertise project for construction in Spring of 2023
Start construction in early Summer of 2023
Recommended Action
Adopt the relocation plan in order for the City to meet
Federal Relocation Assistance and Real Property
Acquisition Policies prior to relocating impacted owner
and tenants.
