PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SANTA ANA
TOURISM MARKETING DISTRICT
SATMD AND LEVY OF AN
ASSE SMEN ON CERTAIN LODGING
BUSINESSES WITHIN THE SATMD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on
September 16, 2020, the City Council ((the
"Coundl") of the dty of Santa Ane (Ihe
'City') adopted a Resolution of Intention
to establish the Santa Ana Tourism
Marketing District (the "SATMD") and to
lery an assessment on certain lodging
businesses within the SATMD as set forth
in the Resoluton of Intention.
NOTICE 13 HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN
that at 6:45 PM on October 6, 2020, at
Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza,
Santa Ana, CA 92701 a public meeting
shall be held ppursuant to Government
Code section 54964.6 to allow public
badk ny regarding the establishment of
the SATMD and the levy of assessments
therein as eel I In the Resolution of
Intention and ppursuant to Government
Code section 54964.6.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER
GIVEN(hat at 545 PM on November 17,
2020, at Council Chambers, 22 Civic
Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701, has
been set as the time and place for a
public hearing at which time the Council
Perot.... to establish the SATMD and to
the propposed assessment as set forth
In the Resolution of Intention.
Location: The proposed SATMD Includes
all lodging buslnessas with seventy (70)
rooms or more located within the
boundaries of City of Santa Ana.
Services: The SATMD is designed to
provide specific benefits directly to payore
y increasing room night sales. Marketing
and sales promotions will Increase
overnight tourism and market payers as
tourist, meeting and event destinations,
thereby increasing room night miss.
Budgget: The total SATMD annual budget
for the Initial year of Its five S5) year
operation Is antidpeletl o be
approximately $2,401
Collection: The City will be responsible
for collectingg the assessment on a
monthly beats (Including any
deflinhome. ncles, penalties and Interest)
home.

and remit collections to the Owners'
Association.
Protest: Any owner of an assessed
lodging business within the proposed
SATMD that will be subject to the

protests are received from the Reasons of
assessed lodging businesses In the
proposed SATMD who represent fitly
percent (50%) or more of the estimated
annual assessments to be levied, the
SATMD shell not be established and the
assessment shall not be imposed.
