SECTION 4. The City Council di.

SECTION S. The City Council di-
rects staff to work with the demog-
r¢pher and other appropriate con-
sultants as needed, to Provide a de-
tailed analysis of the City's current
demographics and any other infor-
mation or date necessary to Pre-
pare ward re-boundary maps Ihat
divides the City into voting words in
a manner consistent with federal
and slate- low, including, but not
limited to the U.S. Constitution, the
California Constitution. the federal
Voting Rights Act, and the City
Charier.
SEGTIQhi d The City Council di-
rects staff to establish a means of
Communication to answer questions
from the public regarding hearings
dates and to make every effort pos-
siblo to translate material and noti-
ces in multiple languages, including
Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese and
Korean.
Section_7. This Resolution shall take
effect immediatelY upon its adots-
tion by a majority of the City Coun-
cil, and the Clerk of the Council
shall attest to and cerlify the vote
adopting this Resolution.
