Members of the Planning Commission,
We are owners of a residence at 410 E. Washington Ave., Santa Ana, within the
historic French Park neighborhood.
In regard to the issue before the Commission at this evening’s meeting, involving
application to construct new houses at 826 and 830 N. Lacy Street, we are strongly
in support of the approval of this request. We believe that Habitat for Humanity is
an excellent organization that supports strong neighborhoods and social justice by
assisting in providing quality housing to families who might not otherwise be able
to afford today’s high housing costs.
Further, we are pleased to learn that the proposed style of the houses to be
constructed, i.e. a 2-story Victorian-style and a 1-story Craftsman-style, will
complement the style of the existing housing within the French Park neighborhood.
