Subject: Support the Purchase of EV pick up Trucks in item #13
The email is short and to the point. I support the purchase of the 5 Ford
F 150 EV pickup trucks. After passing a green resolution almost a year
ago it is good to see this council finally do something in support of the
Green Resolution.
I would suggest the council ask for an inventory of the city's own vehicles
to see how environmentally friendly our fleet is. It would also help to
measure any progress we make.
I also would like to see the city develop plans for adding solar power in
the city. Saddleback HS generates 95% of its electrical needs. The solar
system on my house has paid for itself in just 7 years. Our city is far
behind SAUSD, the County and other cities in the OC in the development
of solar power. We can make a difference and we should.
