TOPIC: Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget Workshop
AGENDA TITLE:
Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget Workshop
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Provide direction to staff in preparation for the budget public hearing scheduled for June
6, 2023.
DISCUSSION
The City Manager’s proposed budget was posted to the City’s website on May 6. The
draft documents include the detailed Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget Document, Capital
Improvement Plan, and Miscellaneous Fee Schedule.
The May 11 workshop includes a staff presentation and City Council discussion and
direction. Currently, there is no budget workshop planned for the regular agenda on
May 16, as staff expects to receive final City Council direction necessary to update the
proposed documents for the June 6, 2023 budget public hearing. Adoption of the budget
is currently scheduled for June 20, 2023, in time for the beginning of the new fiscal year
on July 1.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no direct fiscal impact associated with the recommendation.
