Good Afternoon Mayor, Mayor Pro-Tem and Councilmembers (BCC),
Here is our wrap up of the Agenda briefings for the City Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday June
18, 2024.
Agenda Item # 8 – Charter Bus Contracts for Seniors and Youth Excursions.
A Councilmember inquired: “where are these bus companies located”.
Coach Max is located in Los Angeles and Elite Executive Charter is located in Garden
Grove California.
Agenda Item # 9 – CDA’s request for approval to expand our Work Center Employment
Program to provide paid public sector/non-profit work experience to 120 Santa Ana Youth.
A Councilmember has asked us to do a press release after approval of this.
Yes, Paul Eakins will do this after approval.
Agenda Item # 13 & #14 – Ceremonial Street Naming for Virginia and William Guzman and one
for Warren Bussey.
There was a question about Ceremonial Street names completed to date and then the policy
of how long someone has to be deceased.
Rudy Rosas has provided the following additional detail below for the history of the
program. The City Council has approved the fee waiver for all to date. Person needs to
be deceased for 1 year.
