HomeMy WebLinkAbout1337 ORDINANCE NO. 1337 ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. lO7& ~EAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha has given notice of public hearings as required by law in connec- tion with an application to amend the Zoning Ordinance to cover the properties herein described, and has du~y held two public hearings upon the Question of such amendment, and thereafter by Resolution Number $07 recommended such amendment to the City Council for adop- tion; and WHEREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of a public hearing before said body and such public hearing has been duly and regularly held, and the City Council does now find that public necessity and convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and change in the present classification of certain property hereinafter described and that the proposed uses under the proposed new classification will not be detrimental to the surroundin~property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section l: That Sheets No. 2 and 3 of the Districting Map of the City of Santa Aha of Ordinance No. 1074 be amended to reclassify as R-2 (Llm£tedtMultlple) Residence District, all that property now classified as R-1 (Single Family) Residential District, which said property is described as follows: Lots l, Z¥ 3,~ 4and 5 in Berkeley Tract as shown on a map thereof in Book 7, page 23 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; Lots 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in Spurgeon Street Tract as shown on a map thereof in Book 6, page 23 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; and abandoned street adjoining Lot 7 of said Spurgeon Street Tract; All lots in Correated Map of Warner's Subdivision excepting Lots 9, 12 and 13 in Block B thereof all as shown on a map thereof in Book l, page 97 of Miscel- laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; Lots 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 in Block A, and Lots l, 2, 3, ~, ll, 12, 13 and 14 in Block B, all in Tract No. 276 as shown on a map thereof in Book 13, page $~ of Miscellaneous ~aps, Records of Orange 0omnty, California; Lots 8, 9, 10, ll, 12, 13 and 15 of Bush Street Tract as shown on a map thereof in Book 6, page 35 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; Lots 5 to 18, inclusive of Mary Sheffer's A~dition as shown on a map thereof in Bock 30, page 47 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, and abandoned street adjoining Lot ll of said Mary Sheffer's Ad- dition; also all land bounded on the south by Eo 17th Street; on the West by Spurgeon Street; on the east by a line paral- lel to Spurgeon Street and distant 155 feet east therefrom, and on the north by a line parallel to E. 17th Street and 350 feet north therefrom. Said property proposed to be changed is a portion of the land which lies within the area bounded on the south by E. Washington Avenue; on the west by Bush Street; and on the northeast by the southwesterly line of the right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Company Railroad which intersects said streets. That said Districting Map so amended be attached hereto and is hereby adopted and made a part hereof. Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three issues of the Santa Ana Register, a newspaper printed, published, and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, and hereby designated for that purpose. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the day on which it is passed and adopted.
