~S, the Planning Co~aission of the City of Santa Ann has
given notice of public hearings as required by law in connection with
an application for ch~ge of District classification to cover the
property herein described and has duly held two public hearings upon
the question of such change and thereafter, by Resolution No. 459
reco~uended such change to the City Council for adoption; and
U~R~S, the City Council gave due and regular notice of public
hearing and such p~blic hearing has been duly and regularly held ~d
the Council does now find that public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require the following amendment and change in the
present classifi~tion of the real property hereinafter described and
that the uses under the proposed new classification will not be detri-
mental to the surrounding property;
N0~, T~EFORE, T~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ~A ~ES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: That the real property lying in the City of Santa
Ann, County of 0range, State of California described as:
P~CEL l~ The Southerly 138 feet of the Westerly 427
feet of the Easterly 519 feet (measured from the center line
of Baker Street) of the North one-half of Lot 2 of the Bates
Tract as shown on a map thereof in Book l, page 96 of Eis-
cellaneous Record ~ps of Orange County, California;
P~CEL 2: The West 221 f~et (measured to the center line
of Bristol Street) of the following described property: The
North one-half of Lot 2 and all of ~ot 3 of the said Bates
Tract;
EXCE~G fro~ said Lot 3 the ~ortherly 4.244 chains thereof;
ALSO ~CEPTING from the remaining portion of said Westerly
221 feet of said Lot 3 and said North one-half of Lot 2, the
Westerly 221 feet of the Northerly 303 feet and the Southerly
144 feet thereof;
P~C~ 3: The Southerly 144 feet of the Westerly 224
feet (measured to the center line of Bristol Street) of the
North one-half of Lot 2 of the said Bates Tract, in the City
of Santa ~na, County of Orange, State of California,
be re-classified as follows: That Parcels i ~d 2 be re-classified
from R-1 (Residence District) to R-2 (Limited-~ultiple Residence Dis-
trict) and that Parcel 3 be re-classified from R-1 (~esidence Dis-
trict) to R-3 (~Iultiple Fsunily Residence District) and that Sheet
Number 18 of the Districting Nap of Article IX of the "Santa Ane
~,~unicipal Code" be amended to show such re-classification of said
property.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and sh~ll cause the same to be published in three issues of
the Senta Aha Register, a newspaper printed~ published, and circulated
in the City of Santa Aha, and hereby designated for that purpose. This
Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the day on which
it is passed and adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
at its Regular meeting held on the 3rd day of
November , 1952.

read to the said Council at its regular meeting held on the
10th day of October , 1952 and was again read to the Council at
its regular meeting held on the ~r~l day of November ,
1952 and was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by said
Council by the following vote, to-wit:
