AMENDING SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ~ENDING SECTION
7207.1 TO PROVIDE MINIMUM WIDTHS FOR NEW STREETS
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Santa Ana Municipal Code be amended by
amending Section 7207.1 of Chapter 2 Article VII to read as follows:
"SECTION 7207.1. Same. Plat. Street Width.
"(a) Before submitting any street or subdivision map
to the Council for its approval, a plat showing a complete
layout of streets, alleys, lots and blocks within the
boundaries of the area to be subdivided shall be submitted
to the Planning Commission for its approval.
"(b) No street shall be accepted which is less than 60
feet in width, unless: (1) the street to be accepted is an
extension of an existing street which is less than 60 feet
in width, or (2) the length of a new street which might be
developed (of which the street proposed to be accepted is
a part) be necessarily less than 2,000 feet in length; pro-
vided, however, that in no event shall any street be accept-
ed of less than 50 feet in width."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in t~ree
issues of the Santa Aha Register, a newspaper printed, published,
and circulated in the City of Santa Aha and hereby designated for
that purpose. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the day on which it is passed and adopted.
