BY AMENDING ARTICLE IX THEREOF CREATING CHANGES IN DISTRICT
BOUNDARIES AND BY AMENDING SHEET NUMBER 22 OF THE DISTRICTING
MAP TO SHOW THE RECLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ann has
given notice of public hearings as required by law in connection
with an application for change of District classification to saver
the property herein described and has duly held two public hearings
upon the question of such change and thereafter, by Resolution No.
543 recommended the change herein below set out to the City Council
for adoption; and
WM~REAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of public
hearing and such public hearing has been regularly held and the
Council does now find that public necessity, convenience, and general
welfare require the following amendment and change in the present
classification of the real property hereinafter described and that
the uses under the proposed new classification will not be detrimen-
tal to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S~NTAAN~ DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property lying in the City of Santa
Ann, County of Orange, State of California described as:
That portion of Lots 3 and ~ of the Mabury Tract, in
the City of Santa Ann, County of Orange, State of Cali-
fornia; as per map thereof recorded in Book 1$5, page 301
of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California, de-
scribed as follows:
Beginning at the corner common tO Sections 1, 2, 11 and 12,
Township 5 S~th, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., said Section
corner beimg-/'the intersection of the center lanes of ~riSt~l
Street and Seventeenth Street in the City of Santa Ann; thence
Westerly along the center line of Seventeenth Street 1320.20
feet to an angle point in said center line; thence with an
angle of 0° 57' 00" to the left and following said center line
of Seventeenth Street 355.06 feet; thence Northerly parallel
to and 1675.18 feet Westerly of the East line of said Section
2, 1050.10 feet, more or less, to the North line of that cer-
tain parcel of land conveyed to Oscar Greenwald by Deed re-
corded in Boo~ 355 at page 205 of Deeds, Records of said Orange
County; thence Easterly along said North line 1675.18 feet to
the Northeast corner of the land conveyed to Oscar Greenwald,
as aforesaid, said Northeast corner being in the East line of
said Section 2; thence Southerly along the said East line
103~.84 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
SUBJECT to an easement for street purposes over the East )0
feet included in Bristol Street and an easement for street
purposes over that portion of said premises included in
Seventeenth Street,
be reclassified from R-1 (Single-Femally Residence District) and R-2
(Limited-Multiple Residence District) to the 0-2 (General Commer~
cial District) and that Sheet Number 22 of the Districting Map of
Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code be amended to show such
reclassification.
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published with-
in 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ann Inde-
pendent, the official newspaper of the City. This Ordinance shall
take effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
