PARKinG OF VEHICLES IN ALLEYS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~IE CITY OF SANTA Ai~A DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 3225 of Chapter 2, Article III of the
Santa ana Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"SECTION 3225. Alleys.
"(a) No person shall operate any vehicle in a Southerly
or in an Easterly direction in any alley connecting two or
more streets in or terminating in Central Traffic District
A or B.
"(b) NO person shall park any vehicle in any alley in the
City of Santa ~na except while actively engaged in loading or
unloading passengers, freight or merchandise.
"For the purpose of this Section, an alley is defined
as any way or place open to public vehicular traffic which
has a usable width of 20 feet or less."
SECTION~2~ The~iCle~k o2~the Council shall certify to the passage
of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within 15
days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent,
the official newspaper of the City. This Ordinance shall take ef-
fect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
