ANA ~UNICIPAL C-~CREATING CHANGES IN DISTRICT BOUND-
ARIES AND AMENDING SHEET NO. ~4 AND SHEET NO. ll OF
THE DISTRICTING ,MAP TO SHOW THE RECLASSIFICATION
WHEEEAS, the Planning Conmnission of Santa Ana has given
notice of and duly held two public hearings in connection with
an application for change of District Classification and by
Resolution No. 631 recommended to the City Council a part of~
the change requested in said application; and
~HEEEAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly
held a public hearing on said application and does now find
that public necessity, convenience and general welfare require
the following amendment and change in classification and that the
uses under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, THE~FORE, THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES 0~DAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described below be reclass-
ified as follows:
From R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-2 District:
Beginning at the property line at the southeast corner of
First Street and McClay Street, thence easterly 782.31
feet; thence southerly 2~0 feet; thence westerly 782.31
feet; thence northerly to the point of beginning.
From R-1 and R-2 Districts to the M-1 District:
Beginning at the property line at the southwest corner of
First and McClay streets; thence southerly 2~0 feet; thence
easterly 842.31 feet; thence southerly 2~0 feet; thence
easterly ~61 feet; thence southerly, on a line parallel to
the Santa Ana City Limits line as the same exists on Lyon
Street, 10~6.2~ feet; thence westerly 1194.60 feet; thence
northerly and parallel to the e~st~rl~ o~oper~ lln~ of
McClay Street 496.2~ feet, to a point oR t~s%utherly
property line of Chestnut Street; Thence westerly 360 feet
along the southerly property line of Chestnut Street;
thence southerly 303.20 feet; thence westerly 30?.08 feet;
thence northerly 1397.70 feet, more or less, to the
southerly property line of First Street; thence easterly
along the southerly property line of First Street to the
point of beginning~
and that sheets No. 44 and ll of the Districting Map of Article IX
of the Santa Ana Municipal Code be amended to show such reclass-
ification.
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published,
within 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana
Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its adoption.
