NS-62 I~ECLARING 'l'/i~ ANI~TION OF THAT uF_~TAIN TERRITO"'~GNA,£~ "BABYLON ANNEXkTION" W~EREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did on July 1954, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 54-109, which said Resolution was regularly published in the Santa Independent and Orange Daily News as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on the 16th day of July, 1954; and W~, at said hearing there were no objections or protests to said proposed annexation; NOW, '£~)I{E~ 'fn~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after due hearing regularly held in al ! respects as required by law and as more particularly shown in the files of this proceeding, it finds that there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given~ that said territory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation was filed and that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California. SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orauge, State of California described as: Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast ql~,,rter (NE~) of Section 23, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, S.B.B. & }4., said point being the Northeast corner of that certain 4.95 acre parcel of land sho~n on a Licensed Surveyors Map, filed in Book 27, at page 4~ of Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California; running thence along the boundary line of said 4.95 acre parcel of land the following courses and dis~tauces, North 89° 55' 50" West 331.86 feet to a point~ thence South 0w ~6' 40" West 649.44 feet to a point~ thence South 89° 55' 50" East 331.86 feet to a point~ thence North 0 46' 40" East 649.44 feet to the point of beginning, be and the s~.m- is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the City of Santa Aha, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and de- clared to take effect from and after the effective date of this Ordinance. SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shed_l cause the same to be published, within 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent, the official newspaper of the City. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
