BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 3238 PRESCRIBING MAXIMUM SP.:.:.
ON A PART OF SANTA CLARA AVENUE
WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey of vehicular traffic moving
on Santa Clara Avenue between North Olive T~e and Rosewood Avenue has been made
and indicatgs that the prima facie speed limit of 55 miles per hour, the speed
limit now applicable under the Vehicle Code, is more than is reasonable or safe
and constitutes a present and continuing hazard to persona and property upon
said street:
NOW, THerEFORE, 'l~{s CITY COUNCIL OF Tam CITY OF SANTA AMA DOES 0RD~-N
SECTION l: That the Santa Ama Municipal Code be and the same is hereby
amended by adding a new Section numbered 3238 at the end of Chapter ~ of Article
III of said Code to read as follows:
"SECTION 3238. Speed Limit on Santa Clara Avenue.
No person s~al 1 drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 35
miles per hour on Santa Clara Avenue between its intersection
with North Olive ~_m. ne and Rosewood Avenue."
SECTION 2: The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and sb~.ll cmuse the same to be published, within 15 days after its
adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent. This Ordi~uce shall take
effect 30 days after its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its
regular meeting held on the 3rd
