NS-110 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "ENGLISH ANNEX" WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did on May 2, 1955 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited ter- ritory by Resolution No. 55-118, which said Resolution was regu- larly published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on June 20, 1955; and WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests to said proposed annexation; NOW, THEP~FORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said .territory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California; that written consent of all the owners was filed with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agreeing that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said prop- erty shall be so taxed. SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point in the monumented center line of King Street, as shown on a map of Tract No. 1788, recorded in Book 52, at page 17 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, said point being at the inter- section of said monumented center line of King Street with the North line or the Easterly extension thereof of said Tract No. 1788, said point being an angle point in the West- erly City LimSt of the City of Santa Ana; thence South 89o 46' 30" West 683.88 feet to a point in the Easterly right of way line of the Santa Ana River through the Newbert Protection District; thence North 34° 48, 00" East along said Easterly line, 985.77 feet to a point in the North line of Seventeenth Street, 80.00 feet wide; thence North 89° 15' 40" East along said North line, 548.75 feet to a point in the Northeasterly extension of said monumented center line of King Street; thence South 27° 42' 30" West, along said extension and center line, 919.26 feet to the point of beginning. All bearings and distances are as shown on a licensed surveyor's map filed in Book 29, page 16, of Records of Sur- vey in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the City of Santa Aha, ~he Santa Aha Elementary School District, Santa Aha High School District, and Santa Ana Junior College District, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared. SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas- sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha In- dependent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
