MUNICIPAL CODE CREATING CHANGES IN DISTRICT BOUNDARIES, AMEND-
ING SHEET NO. 45, AND ADDING SHEETS NO. 56, 57 AND 58 TO ~ltE
DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW THE RECLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Santa Aha has given notice
of and duly held two public hearings in connection with an applica-
tion for change of District Classification and by Resolution No.
890 recomzaended to the City Council the change requested; and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held
a public hearing on said application and does now find that public
necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following
amendment and that the uses under the new classification will not be
detrimental to the surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES.
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly line of
Standard Avenue, 60.00 feet in width, as described in a
deed to Orange. County, California, and recorded October 22nd,
1930, in Book 423, page 368 of Official Records, with the
South line of Section 18, Township 5 South, Range 9 West,
S.B.B. & M., thence Easterly along the South line of said
Section 18 to the common corners of Sections 17, 18, 19 and 20,
Township 5 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B. & M., thence Sout~
along the West line of said Section 20, 5 chains; thence
North 89° 16, 20" East 1615.03 feet, thence Southerly a dis-
tance of 4930.oo feet more or less to a point on the North
line of Delhi Road 40.00 feet in width, said point being a
distance of 266.94 feet, more or less, Westerly measured along
said North line of Delhi Road from the Center line of Newport
Avenue, said Newport Avenue being 60.00 feet in width, thence
Westerly along the Northerly line of said Delhi Road 1592.00
feet, more or less, to the Easterly line of McCiay Street,
said line being a distance of 25.00 feet measured at right
angles East from the center line of said McClay Street,
thence Northerly along the Easterly line of said McClay Street
10.00 feet, more or less, to the Easterly prolongation of the
Northerly line of Delhi Road, thence Westerly along the North-
erly line of said Delhi Road and its Easterly prolongation a
distance of 622.25 feet more or less to the Easterly llne of
land described in a deed to Union Iron & Steel Co., a partner-
ship, recorded January 14th, 1952 in Book 2273, page 464 of
Official Records of Orange County, California, thence Northerly
along the Eastsrly line of said land of Union Iron & Steel Co.
a distance of b99.3 feet more or less to the Southerly line of
Tract No. 684, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 20, Page 20
of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California,
thence North 89° 19' 15" West 597.3 feet more or less to the
Easterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way,
thence Northerly along the East line of said Right of way
23?3.32 feet more or less to the Easterly prolongation of the
North line of Block C of Tract No, 696, as shown on a Map
corded in Book 20, Pages 45 and 46 of Miscellaneous Maps, Rec-
ords of Orange County, California, thence Westerly along the
North line of said Block C and its Westerly prolongation to the
Westerly line of Standard Avenue, 80.00 feet in width as shown
on said Map of Tract No. 696, thence Northerly along said West-
erly line of Standard Avenue 224.54 feet more or less to the
North llne of said Tract No. 696, thence North 89° 14' 15" East
along the North line of said Tract No. 696 a distance of 10.00
feet more or less, thence Northerly along the Westerly line of
said Standard Avenue 60.00 feet in width to the point of be-
ginning,
be reclassified from R-1 District to the M-1 District, that Sheet No.
45 be amended, and that new Sheets to be Numbered 56, 57 and 58 be
added to the Districting Map of Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal
Code to show such reclassification.
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to t~he pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published, with-
in 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana. Independ-
ent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date
of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of December,

nance was regularly introduced at the regular meeting of said Council
held on the 5th day of December, 1955, and was again considered by said
Council at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of December, 1955,
and was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by said Council by
the following vote, to-wit:
