THAT C~RTAIN TERRITORYDESIGNATED "SECCOMEEANNEX NO. 1"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Alia did on
November 7, 1955 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by Resolution No. 55-275, which said Resolution was regu-
larly published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due
notice of public hearing to be held on December 19, 1955; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests
to said proposed annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due
notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said territory
was Wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation was
filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha,
California; that written consent of all the owners was filed with the
Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agree-
ing that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any
indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing
at the time of annexation and that said property shall be so taxed.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginni~ at an angle point in the City boundary of the City
of Santa Ana, said angle potn~ being a point on the center line
of Dyer Road distant South 89 45' 00" East 1999.72 feet from
the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of Section 30,
Township 5 Sou~h, Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian;
thence South 0 30' 50" East 668.58 feet along said City^Boundary
to an angle point in said City boundary; thence South 89v 45' 00"
East 322.00 feet along said City Boundary to an angle point in
said City boundary, thence South 0 30 50 East 1.42 feet,
thence South 89° ~' 00" East 14o.0o feet and along the South line
of Lot 13 in Block A, of the Seccombe Addition to Dyer as shown
on a map thereof recorded in Book 8, Page 17, of Miscellaneous
Maps Records of Orange County, State of California to the West
line of Harbor Road as shown on said map of Seccombe Addition;
thence South 0° 30' 50" East 668.03 feet along said West line
of Harbor Road and its Southerly extension to point in said City
boundary and to the Northerly line of the Seccombe Tract as shown
on a map thereof recorded in Book 8, page 89 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County California; thence North 89° 31' 42"
West 417.89 feet along said City boundary line and along said
Northerly line of the Seccombe Tract to an angle point in said
City boundary and to the Northwest corner of Lot 1 in said
Seccombe Tract; thence N~rth 89° 31' 42" West 735.47 feet to
a point distant South 89~ 31' 42" East 1320.00 feet from the
West line of said Section 30; thence North 0° Ol' 05" West
664.94' parallel with the West line of said Section 30 to the
Southerly line of South Santa Ana Place as shown on a mmp there-
of Recorded in Book 5, Page 50 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Orange County, California; thence South 89° 45' 00" Mast
8.93 feet to th~ Southeast corner of said South Santa~Ana Place;
thence North 00u 0i' 05s West 668.53 feet along the Easterly
line of said South Santa Ana Place to the Northerly line of the
Southwest quarter of said Section 30, and to said City boundary
line and to said Center line of Dyer Road; thence South 89v45'
00" East 670.82 feet along said City boundary and along said
center line of Dyer Road to the point of beginning.
All bearings and distances as indicated on Record of Survey
Map filed in Book 30, Page 12, of Records of Survey County of
Orange,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the
City of Santa Aha, the Santa Ana Elementary ~chool District, Santa Ana
High School District and Santa Ana Junior College District, and said
annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared.
SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within
15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent.
This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of
its final adoption.

regularly introduced at the regular meeting of said Council held on the
19th day of December , 1955, and was again considered by said Coun-
cil at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of Januar~ , 1956, and
was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by said Council by the
following vote, to-wit:
