SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE "TO PHOVZDE FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
SPECIAL ALL NIGHT STP~EET PARKING PERMITS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 3211 of the Santa Aha Municipal ~ode
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"~ECTION 3211. Ail night Parking Prohibited.
No person shall park, stop or leave standing, any vehicle
for a period of time longer than 30 minutes between the hours
of 2 o'clock A.M. and 6 o'clock A.M. of any day upon any pub-
lic highway in the City unless there'shall have been issued
for said vehicle, a Special Hardship Privilege Parking Permit
for the month in which such parking occurs, which permit has
not been revoked and which permit is displayed in said vehicle
in a manner to allow the entire face or front thereof to be
clearly visible and easily ~ead through the windshield of the
car.~
SECTION 2. That the Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended
by adding thereto, new Sub-sections at the end of Section 3211 in
words and figures as follows:
"~TION 3211.1. Same. Application for Special Permit.
Each original application for Special Hardship Privilege
~Parking Permit shall b® filed in writing with the City Treas-
urer upon a Form to be furnished by him and shall be accompan-
ied by a fee of $4.00 for one month or $12.00 for three months
to pay for the period of time requested in such application.
Each such application shall set forth the name, address, place
of residence of the applicant, the license number, make, model
and type of vehicle for which the permit is sought, and the
reason Justifying the issuance of such Special Permit.
SECTION 3211.2. Same. Issuance.
If the Treasurer determines that offstreet parking is not
available within a radius of 900 feat from said residence,
or that other good reason exists, he shall issue such Special
Per~it. The Permit shall show upon its face, the month or
months and year for which it is valid, the license number, make,
model, and type of vehicle, and the name and address of the
permittee.
SECTION 3211.3.
All such Permits

shall expire at midnight on the last day
of the month for which the fee has been paid and may be renewed
by surrendering the current permit held by permittee and the
payment of the permit fee in amount of $~.00 or $12.00 for the
additional period of one or three months as the applicant may
request. No per~it shall be issued for a period longer than
three months. Permit shall expire upon the transfer of the
registered ownership of the vehicle described in said permit
and shall be immediately delivered to the City Treasurer upon
such transfer, and may be revoked for the violation of any stat-
ute or Ordinance regulating traffic movement or parking within
the City, or for use in any car other than the car described on
the face of said permit.
SECTION 3211.4. Same. Vehicle Not Permitted.
No Special Hardship Privilege Parking Permit shall be issued
for any truck rated as having a carrying capacity of greater
than one ton, for any bus or trailer, and no vehicle not quali-
fied for the issuance of such a permit shall be parked by any
person on any of the streets of this City between the hours of
2 o'clock A.M. and 6 o'clock A.M. of any day, and left standing
for a time longer than 30 minutes.
SECTION 3211.5. Same. End of Special Hardship Period.
The provisions hereof relating to the Special Hardship Priv-
ilege Parking Permit shall expire and be of no further force
and effect upon 'the 30th day of June, 1957 and thereafter no
such permits shall be issued and there shall be no exception to
the prohibition provided for in Section 3211 of this Code.

SECTION 3211.6. Permit Use on Certain Streets Prohibited.'
The Special Hardship Privilege Parking Permit authorized by
this Part shall not grant any right to the holder thereof, to
park the vehicle authorized in said permit and no person shall
park, stop or leave standing, any vehicle for a period of time
longer than 30 minutes between the hours of 2 o'clock A.N. and
6 o'clock A.N. on the streets next herein set out which have
been declared to be primary streete within and adjacent to said
City, to-wit: Seventeenth Street, Eighth Street from King
Street to Broadway Street, Fourth Street, First Street, Edinger
Street, Delhi Road, B~istol Street, Flower Street, Broadway
Street and Natn Street."
