CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "EIGHTH AT KING ANNEX"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on
February 6, 1956 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by Resolution No. 56-29, which said Resolution was regu-
larly published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave
due notice of public hearing to be held on April 16, 1956 ; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests
to said proposed annexation;
WOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA A~A DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due
notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said territory
was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation was
filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana,
California; that written consent of all the owners was filed with the
Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agreeing
that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any in-
debtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing
at the time of annexation and that said property shall be so taxed.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, described as:
That certain portion of Lots 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Lands of S.H.
Finley as shown on a Licensed Surveyor's Eap filed in Book 2
Page 9 of Record of SurVeys, records of the County of Orange,
State of California, Lots 3 and 4 of Tract No. 19, as shown on a
map of said Tract No. 19 recorded in Book 9 Page 23 of Niscella-
neous Naps, ~ecords of said County and that Portion oT the West
Half of the Southeast quarter ofSection lO, Township 5 South,
Range l0 West, San Bernardino Base & Neridian, lying Southeasterly
of the Right-of-Way of the Newbert Protection District established
by deed recorded in Book 210, Page 152 of Deeds, records of said
County, more particularly described as follows:
Beginnln~ at the intersection of the center lines of King
Street and ~th ~treet as shown on a licensed Surveyor's Nap
filed ~n Book 22, Page ~7 of Record of Surveys, Records of Orange
County, thence North 27 30' 00" East 956.59 feet along said center
line of King Street and along the City boundary line to an angle
point in said boundary line; thence North 62° 30' West 291.99
feet to the Northwesterly line of said Lot 9 and to an angle
point in said City Boundary; thence North 27° 30' 39" East
77.22 feet along said Northwesterly line of Lot 9 and said City
boundary to the Northeast corner of said Lot 3; thence South
89° 37' 34" West 588.13 feet to the Southeasterly Right-of-way
line described in said deed recorded in Book 210, Page 152 of
Deeds, Records o~ said County;. thence South 34° 29' 24" West
along said Right of-way line 347.94 feet to the beginning of a
tangent curve concave to the Southeast and having a radius of
11,~59.16 feet; thence Southwesterly along said curve 415.17
feet to the point of intersection of said curve with the South
lige of said Lot 4~ a radial line through said point bears North
57 35' 09" West; thence North 89° 38' 35" East, along said '.
South line, 684.47 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot 4,
thence South 27° 30' 39" West 333.80 feet along the Northwesterly
line of said Lot 7; thence South 62° 30' West 291.99 feet to the
center line of said King Street; thence North 27° 30' East 13.41
feet along said center line of King Street and along said City
boundary to the point of beginning.
All bearings and distances are as shown on licensed Surveyor's
Maps filed in Book 30, Page 23, and Book 27, Page 25, Record of
Survey in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County,
California,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the
City of Santa Ana, the ~anta Ana Elementary School District, Santa
Aha High School District and Santa Ana Junior College District, and
said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared.
SECTION 3- The Clerk of the Council shall certify to ~he pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within
15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent.
This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of
its final adoption.

regularly introduced at the regular meeting of said Council held on the
16tth da~ of April , 1956, and was again considered by said Council at
ts~egui.ar meeting held on the 7th day of May, 1956, and was at
said meetmng regularly passed and adopted by said Council by the follow-
ing vote, to-wit:
